What does the state 'RM_Pending' mean?
The state 'RM_Pending' stands for 'Rematch Pending' and occurs when an organisation sends an amendment to a MATCHED confirmation.
This process is documented within the latest eCM Standards (v4.4) under the section 'High Level Business Document Amendment Processing' on page 21:
"Documents already in a ‘Matched’ state can be amended in version 4.0 of the eCM process however the new versions of a currently matching pair of documents can only be matched with one another as stated in 4.4 Business Document Processing ‘Suggested Match’ Processing. This constraint enables the ‘owners’ of the documents in a matching pair to use the existing matching dialogues to mutually amend the content of the matched documents, and thus reconcile changes made to the terms of the underlying deal, after completion of the original match processing which established a link between the separately held trade records."
If no amendment is required, the amendment can be cancelled by the owner of the document by sending a Cancellation (CAN) file referencing the document version that is in the 'RM_Pending' state.
