In order to maintain communication with your trading partners, please update your certificates before the expiration date if the certificates are still in use. If the certificates are not in use, please can you respond stating this so that we can update records accordingly.
Certificates are used for de-/encrypting and signing documents, to identify a partner and to ensure a secure connection.
Importantly for clients there are two certificates:
1. Local partner certificate: this certificate is used for signing and de-/encryption
2. SSL server certificate: this certificate is required for being able to receive data via https connection
A new certificate request can be generated from the Local Partner configuration in Ponton X/P. Once your certificate request has been received, it will be processed and your new certificate returned to you. At that time, it should be installed in the Local Partner configuration.
Local Partner Certificate:
Partners/Local Partners/[choose relevant partner]/"Certificate" tab/"Request" tab
Form has to be filled, CN has to be the name of the partner, e. g. BETST-Partner or BE-Partner
At the end, the client has to define and remember a private key password and click "OK" button
The whole content of the window has to be sent to support@equias.org with information regarding UAT or PROD usage The received cert has to be copied and installed in Partners/Local Partners/[choose relevant partner]/"Certificate" tab/"Install" tab
SSL Server Certificate -Installation
With Listener
Configuration/Listeners/Configuration/"Server certificate" tab/"Request" tab
Form has to be filled, CN has to be IP-address or hostname of the Listener (as seen from the internet)
At the end, client has to define and remember a private key password and click "OK" button
The whole content of the window has to be sent to support@equias.org with information regarding UAT or PROD usage After receiving the signed certificate, it has to be copied and installed in Configuration/Listeners/Configuration/"Server Certificate" tab/"Show/Install" tab
